The Provincial Competition represents the core of the WorldSkills South Tyrol, Italy project. Held every two years, it serves as the official qualification event for the WorldSkills Competition, the international championship of skills.

Only the winners in the skill categories recognised by WorldSkills International can apply to join the local team that will represent South Tyrol at the global level.

In addition to the competing skills, the event also includes demonstration skills. These showcase professions that are not yet part of the international programme but are of significant importance for the regional context.

The competition is open to young talents from South Tyrol and, subject to availability, also to participants from other Italian regions.

The Provincial Competition is where skills emerge, talents are developed, and the team representing South Tyrol on the international stage takes shape.

2025 Edition

The previous edition took place at the Bolzano Fair from 18 to 20 September 2025, as part of the South Tyrolean Education Fair – FUTURUM.

The event served as the qualification stage for the WorldSkills 2026 in Shanghai (China).

Next Edition

The next edition is scheduled for 2027 and will serve as the official qualification event for the WorldSkills 2028 in Aichi (Japan).
